The NSW Housing Code (otherwise known as State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 has been significantly amended to expand the range of exempt and complying development across NSW and increase the number of properties to which the Code applies.
Smith & Tzannes have been the lead consultant to the Department of Planning on the Codes SEPP since mid 2008.
The current amendment that commenced on 28 February 2011, includes provisions for:
dwelling house on lots >200m2,
attached and semi-detached development provisions,
development on bushfire and flood prone land.
Smith & Tzannes also prepared the new user guide for complying development.
