SMITH & TZANNES Pty Ltd is wholly owned and directed by Peter Smith and Andrew Tzannes. Every project benefits from the active involvement of the directors from conception through to completion.

Our team of talented architects, and urban designers, support the directors providing additional skills, project management and expertise as required by the demands of the project. A creative approach continues to be fostered throughout the development of each project with a primary focus on design excellence and quality service seeking the best possible solution.




Aside from the human resources Smith & Tzannes has extensive technological and reference resources available for the production of drawings and documentation and graphic design.

Documents are be prepared using a combination of traditional methods, and BIM (Building Information Management) using Archicad, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs. Practice management software UnionSquare supports the day to day management of projects, collate date and automate processes. We also have the ability to draw on the resources of our external consultant networks to provide additional expertise and resources as the project may require.

Communication is a central focus of our day to day business and is assisted by high speed internet connections.


Quality Management

Smith & Tzannes have a Quality Management System. The System acknowledges industry standards and codes of practice and ensures that our work complies with appropriate legislative and regulatory requirements.

The Management System policies described in Policy and Quality Manual address the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008, Quality Management Systems. The policies outline the company procedures and reflect the requirements of the Standard and our strategy of best practice and continual improvement.

The use of policies and procedures in our Management System provides assurance to our clients that Smith & Tzannes has taken all efforts to provide products and services that conform to our client’s requirements.

As part of the system regular peer reviews are undertaken on all projects, and the procedures are constantly reviewed as we learn from our experiences.

Our Environmental Policy and OH+S Policy are an integral part of the Policy and Quality Manual.
